The Mowlem Theatre welcomes The Swanage School to the stage again with a very special, one-night-only production.
Each year the National Theatre commissions ten new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrowThe Swanage School is one of 300 UK youth theatre companies selected to produce a Connections play this year, and the most successful could go on to perform at the National Theatre in London!
The Swanage School will be performing Superglue, written by Tim Crouch and directed by Harry PeakeA group of climate activists gather at a woodland burial ground to say goodbye to a friendThey talk about their pasts and futures, peaceful action versus violent action, how society dismisses their views and undervalues their cause, and parallels are drawn between old age and adolescence
We'd like to encourage you to support the talented young actors of The Swanage School in a play that is emotive and inspiring while gently inviting an intergenerational understanding of the future of our planet
