Ghost Hunt at Middleton Hall 18th May 2012: Join the S-P-I team as we carry out an investigation of this remarkable hall. Many of the staff have commented on the strange feelings and sensations around the location especially at night. One ghost is that of a feminine looking gentleman with long hair wearing civil war uniform. This has been suggested to be one of the original owners of the house known for his strange appearance.
The Hall holds many re-enactment days and its during these events that people have witnessed poltergeist activity and a mysterious lady wearing a scarlet silk dress dating from the early Victorian age. Local rumour informs us that she was once the lady of the house and one day the servants found her laying at the bottom of the stairs with a broken neck. Her husband was serving in the army at the time and only heard the terrible news when he returned home. He is said to have to have died soon after of a broken heart
