Band of Skulls: Band of Skulls is an alternative garage rock band from England.

They originally performed as Fleeing New York before becoming Band of Skulls in 2008.

The band formed when Russel Marsden, Emma Richardson and Matt Hayward met in college and connected over their shared love of music.

Though they’ve only released one full album (and an EP in 2010), they have had a great deal of commercial success.

Their music has been featured in advertising, TV series, and video games.

They are planning to release their latest album, “Sweet Sour” in February, 2012.

Like their first album, “Sweet Sour” is filled with the sort of melodic ballads and catchy hooks that caused their song “Friends” to be featured on the soundtrack for Twilight: New Moon.

Fans of Band of Skulls can follow the band on facebook where they can find links to articles, interviews, and newly released tracks, as well as compete in contests and competitions that Band of Skulls frequently posts.

FEATUREIWrestledABearOnce Interview

Forest Gump's momma always used to say Iwrestledabearonce's music is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get. Well, she didn't say it specifically about them, but with a mish-mash of jazz, electro beats, swing, easy listening, metal and grindcore in their songs; Iwrestledabearonce (IWABO) have, without a doubt, created a unique sound in which you have no idea what will happen next.

FEATUREYou and What Army band interview

Telford-based electro-rock band You and What Army describe themselves as "having unforgivingly catchy trance synths that soar over tectonic-plate-shatteringly heavy guitar riffs, dancefloor-destroyingly awesome basslines and lowrider-cruisingly phat beats, with the narrated apocalypse rapped, sung and screamed wildly into the fray." That's one massive claim, so BritEvents' Lucy Middleton catches up with the four piece band to find out more about their epic sound.
