Professor Green: British rap phenomena "Professor Green" will embark on the biggest tour of his career this April.
The rapper has announced plans to hit up 10 of the UK's hottest venues, with his unique brand of British 'grime' this spring. "Professor Green", real name Stephen Paul Manderson, shot to fame in 2008 when he won an online rap battle, hosted by the social network, MySpace.
He subsequently went on to work with some of the most successful and influential British performers out there, including the likes of Lily Allen, and Mike Skinner of "The Streets". Green released his first album, "Alive Till I'm Dead", in July 2010.
The album went on to be a commercial and critical success, and spawned two hit singles. "Professor Green" made headlines for all of the wrong reasons in 2009, when he was stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle, at a club in East London.
His attacker was caught, and later sentenced to 8 years in prison. The tour kicks off at the o2 Academy Glasgow on April 23rd.
