Birdworld and Underwaterworld, Farnham, Surrey, GU104LD

Birdworld: In addition to a walk around 26 acres of aviares and beautiful landscaped gardens you can enjoy...

Penguin feeding

One of the most popular events, see the penguins being fed by a keeper and learn all about them. Feeding presentations every day at 11.30 and 3.30. You can even feed the penguins yourself for just £6.50. Please phone 01420 22992 to book in advance. (We regret only one person can feed the penguins per session and

children must be over 5)

Heron Theatre

A real must for all visitors, these shows are both fun and educational. Our own education team uses some of our young birds raised at Birdworld performing natural tricks, as they would in the wild, to illustrate the magical world of birds in our own special shows. Regular shows are held throughout the day. School parties are welcome to book for shows on a particular topic

Safari Rides

A special ride through the park to meet some of our larger inhabitants including vultures, cranes, emus and ostriches. The keeper will give a commentary, giving you some interesting facts and letting you know which is which. Train times are shown in the park

Animal Handling on Jenny Wren Farm Your chance to get close to some of our new arrivals. Youngsters love having the chance to stroke and sometimes hold some of these farm babies. Sessions are held regularly during the day, there is of course lots to see in the farm itself, which is open throughout the day.

Underwater World

Journey downstream past tanks representing Tropical Streams and Mangrove Forests down to our young aligator swamp. And on to marine tanks representing sparkling tropical seas.

Birds of Prey tours

Its interesting to accompany one of the keepers on their daily feeding round to feed the Birds of Prey, if a little gruesome as they are fed dead chicks. The tour gives a fascinating insight into the various Birds of Prey to be found at Birdworld.

Play Areas

Plus loads of areas for kids to let off steam!

See our daily programme sheet for extra shows and talks

FEATURERainy days out in Britain

Despite our rich heritage, vibrant culture and modern tastes in entertainment, Britain is prone to a bit of rain. Actually, make that a LOT of rain. Nevertheless, when the heavens open there's still plenty to do undercover. We take a look at what's available when the weather turns inclement.

FEATURETandem skydive with Red Letter Days

Throwing yourself out of a plane at 10,000 feet might be considered utter madness. But if close friends start wondering aloud about your sanity (or the contents of your will), you can reassure them that you'll be attached (literally) to an expert instructor and that, frankly, you're in for an experience so exhilarating that you'll probably never stop talking about it.

FEATUREGet Lost in Britain's Best Mazes

Built as both a fun challenge as well as historic and cultural purposes, mazes are both entertaining and magical. Britain has the largest number of mazes in the world, and we take a look at some of the best dotted across the country.

FEATUREDay out at West Midlands Safari Park

Voted best attraction in the Midlands by both parents and their children, Bewdley's West Midlands Safari Park is fun for all the family. We sent BritEvents' Lucy Middleton to see what all the fuss is about, and to enjoy an ice cream or two, on us!
