The Pirates Of Penzance

The Borough Hall, Tuesday, 14 February 2012 - Saturday, 18 February 2012

The Pirates Of Penzance: Godalming Operatic Society's production of The Pirates of Penzance promises to be a wonderful Leap Year treat for all the family. The winning team of Musical Director Robin Wells and Stage Director Pat O'Connell are once again at the helm. Expectations are high that this accomplished and award winning Society will put on a show that will live up to their usual high standards.

The Pirates of Penzance needs no introduction to Gilbert and Sullivan enthusiasts and it is probably the most comical of all their operas. Those who are newcomers to G and S will soon recognise that not only is there The Very Model of a Modern Major General' and his many daughters in the show, but they will also appreciate that A Policeman's Lot is not a Happy One'! In addition, there is a Pirate King, his apprentice and a Pirate Maid of All Work, along with a merry crew. So in typical Gilbert and Sullivan fashion, you can expect a fair amount of thoroughly entertaining disorder!
