Hilton Brighton Metropole, Friday 13 Nov 09
We are delighted to announce that the Sussex Sports Awards 2009 will return to the Hilton Brighton Metropole on Friday 13 November and will be hosted by Olympic Medallist, ex GB Swimming Captain and BBC Sports Broadcaster, Steve Parry!
For 2009 the theme we have chosen is overcoming adversity in sport, how to create your own good luck! Over the last year we have all faced difficult and trying times both professionally and personally so this awards night will focus on turning this bad luck on it’s head!
Sport is renowned for its superstitions, lucky mascots and idiosyncrasies - from Nadal ordering of his drinks in a line before a game to Bobby Moore insisting on being the last person into the changing-room. Sportsmen believe this can give them the mental edge needed to help create ‘good luck’. So with the evening hosted on Friday 13 - who in Sussex will be creating their own good luck at the 2009 Sussex Sports Awards?
The 2009 categories will be announced very soon so make sure you come back to find out more! Nominations will open on 13 August and run until 13 October.
