However, when Nancy finds herself enamoured with Lord Valentine, madness ensues as her Aunt does everything in her power to prevent them from marrying. Her simple plan to elope with her lover and gain her inheritance gets complicated when she runs into her cross-dressing Uncle, drug-crazed detectives, and the wrath of her Aunt.Directed by Richard Temperley, the show is being performed by students from the Newcastle University Gilbert & Sullivan Society, who have just won an award for their February production of Patience at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House.
So come and follow Nancy on her mission to keep what is rightfully hers in a tale of cat-fights, cross-dressing, and confusion!
Naughty Nancy will be performed on the 16th and 17th June in Venue at Newcastle University Students’ Union. Tickets are £5 and can be reserved by emailing [email protected], or can be bought on the door.
