Preston Hall Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Rally

Preston Park, Saturday, 23 June 2012 - Sunday, 24 June 2012

Preston Hall Fire Engine and Vintage Vehicle Rally: PRESTON HALL 2012 will be held on last weekend in June. It is one of the North's major rallies of preserved vehicles. The Preston Hall vehicle rally has been running on the last weekend in June for 25+ years and has now grown into a popular and very successful annual event.

Regularly attracting some 400 exhibitors - with around 500 items on display ' the exhibits cover the history of fire-fighting from its earliest times to the most modern of appliances, and motoring in general terms from the 30's to the present day. Exhibits also include commercial vehicles, P.C.V.'s, agricultural & military exhibits, pedal and motorcycles.

Additional attractions include craft and food stalls, side shows, a fun fair, trade stands & auto-jumble stalls, Bungee trampolines, arena displays including the best in vehicle entertainment such as motorbike display teams, stunt riders, monster trucks, classic clowning, emergency services demonstrations and much more. Of course there is a full food service & bar.

Given good weather attendances frequently top the 10,000 mark, and with admission charges kept low, £4.00 & £2.00 it attracts an enthusiastic crowd every year and raises much-needed funds for the Firefighters Charity.

Throwing yourself out of a plane at 10,000 feet might be considered utter madness. But if close friends start wondering aloud about your sanity (or the contents of your will), you can reassure them that you'll be attached (literally) to an expert instructor and that, frankly, you're in for an experience so exhilarating that you'll probably never stop talking about it.
