21 JUN

Bruce Springsteen: One of the undisputed kings of heartland rock, Bruce Springsteen, will be going on tour in 2012 to mark the release of his new album Wrecking Ball.

During the first half of 2012 he will be touring across the USA and Europe promoting the album. You can expect to hear some of that classic Americana soothing your ears.

Together with the E Street Band they will be touring the US during March and April of 2012.

Then they start the European leg of their tour which will run from May through to the end of July.

During this time there are 3 dates in June when they will be performing in Britain.

They will visit Sunderland before moving on to Manchester and ending in Isle of Wright. Wrecking Ball is definitely going to be a global success and just help in adding even more sales to the staggering 120 million albums sold to date world wide.

You should not miss seeing The Boss live.

FEATUREThe biggest films of 2012

A long time ago the ancient civilisation The Mayans predicted that 2012 would bring cataclysmic events to earth - and while we all wait in anticipation for the end of the world, what better way to spend your final days than to watch one of 2012's blockbusters, coming to a silver screen near you this year. Good job there's no apocalyptic movies in our list!

FEATUREYou and What Army band interview

Telford-based electro-rock band You and What Army describe themselves as "having unforgivingly catchy trance synths that soar over tectonic-plate-shatteringly heavy guitar riffs, dancefloor-destroyingly awesome basslines and lowrider-cruisingly phat beats, with the narrated apocalypse rapped, sung and screamed wildly into the fray." That's one massive claim, so BritEvents' Lucy Middleton catches up with the four piece band to find out more about their epic sound.
