The Albion Band

Playhouse Whitley Bay, Sunday, 18 March 2012

18 MAR

The Albion Band: The Albion Band are one of the iconic English Folk groups from the late 60's and early 70's and nowadays fit very well with the renewed interest in this musical style.

The new lineup recaptures the spirit of the Albion Band's heyday with a rockier, edgier approach to traditional English folk music. Taking the unique character of classic era Albion Band and fusing it with award winning song writing and a contemporary rock and indie vibe, this is the new sound 21st century English folk-rock.

The band will perform self-penned, re-written and traditional material as well as re-booted Albion Band classics in what promises to be a diverse and energetic live set.

The Albion Band at Playhouse Whitley Bay in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear on Sunday, 18 March 2012.
