An evening of outstanding live folk music in the stunning venue of the 600 year old Tudor Stables at Kenilworth Castle.
In 2013, Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar picked up the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk award. Following the award win, Russell and Algar toured the country and, later in summer, played venues and festivals such as Cambridge Folk Festival and Fairport's Cropredy Convention as well as appearing live on Mark Radcliffe's BBC Radio 2 Folk Show. After recording their second album in the November of 2013, Russell and Algar received the Horizon Award for Best breakthrough act at the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. The second album, The Call, was then released in July receiving 5 Stars in fRoots, 4 Stars in both R2 Magazine and The Telegraph and a host of other brilliant reviews. Their latest album, 'The Silent Majority,' was released in March 2016 and has already received rave reviews.
Will Pound is one of the finest harmonica players of his generation whose innovative style pushes the boundaries of his instrument and the folk genre. Three-time nominee for BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician Of The Year, he has held the accolades of FATEA Instrumentalist of the Year (2013, 2014) and Spiral Earth Magazine Musician Of The Year (2015). Together Will Pound and Eddy Jay create a sound and show like no other. The pair read each other instinctively, forging a path to new folk sounds with harmonica and accordion together as one instrument Will and Eddy's debut album 'Ignite' will be released (via Proper) in April 2016.
