Juley left Rugby High School to live at the Women's Peace Camp at Greenham Common at the age of 17 in 1984, and spent the next ten years campaigning to stop nuclear weapons. The book describes life at Greenham Common, numerous actions and protests against nuclear weapons, including a break-in to Buckingham Palace in 1993 and a gruelling action to stop a nuclear weapons' test in the Nevada Desert.
