Shakespeare At Falstaffs: The players will performing in the courtyard of this unique Tudor property, which was a tavern in the 16th century ran by a man on whom Shakespeare based his Falstaff character. Indeed Shakespeare would probably have visited here often as he is documented to have had close connections with the family and it therefore not unlikely he would have seen plays performed here himself.
The Earl of Oxfords Men are dedicated to bringing the works of Shakespeare to the street, corporate or private events in a fun and imaginative way.
In the original 16th century format, the players make the works of the Bard accessible to all. Presented in lavish period costume, the group takes on the persona of the Tudor players on and offstage, giving the audience the chance to see Shakespeare's work as the provincial audiences would have seen it four hundred years ago, inspiring, brilliant, always hugely enjoyable and believable.
