Andre Rieu: Andre Rieu is a rather revolutionary force within the world of classical music, from a very young age his father (a conductor of the Maastricht Symphony Orchestra) taught him the ways in which someone could make music.

Later on he began to create his own renditions in a way that allowed for a good deal of creativity and self-expression.

Outside of music Andre Rieu is a very accomplished linguist, speaking several different European languages fluently.

In the world of classical music Andre Rieu is not well received by his critics, in fact they believe that he is making a mockery of the genre.

Despite these assertions Andre Rieu's fans are more than able to speak for themselves, while the critics might not like it most of the time, most listeners do.

Most revolutionary artists are always greeted with skepticism and ire, and it is no different for this artist unfortunately.

FEATUREIWrestledABearOnce Interview

Forest Gump's momma always used to say Iwrestledabearonce's music is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get. Well, she didn't say it specifically about them, but with a mish-mash of jazz, electro beats, swing, easy listening, metal and grindcore in their songs; Iwrestledabearonce (IWABO) have, without a doubt, created a unique sound in which you have no idea what will happen next.

FEATUREYou and What Army band interview

Telford-based electro-rock band You and What Army describe themselves as "having unforgivingly catchy trance synths that soar over tectonic-plate-shatteringly heavy guitar riffs, dancefloor-destroyingly awesome basslines and lowrider-cruisingly phat beats, with the narrated apocalypse rapped, sung and screamed wildly into the fray." That's one massive claim, so BritEvents' Lucy Middleton catches up with the four piece band to find out more about their epic sound.
