Founded in 1885, the collections cover fine art and applied arts, archaeology and ethnography, local and industrial history. The Fine and Applied Art Collections include paintings and drawings, British Watercolours and Arts and Crafts. The Museum and Art Gallery has an ever changing programme of temporary exhibitions and its permanent collection includes the famous Pre-Raphaelites. Major shows are housed in the restored Gas Hall. Entrance to the Museum and Art Gallery is free, and visitors are welcome to drop in and take a look around at their leisure.
The Museum Shop stocks a wide range of souvenirs and gifts and the splendid licensed Edwardian Tea Room provides refreshments in magnificent surroundings. .

21/05/2013 10:20:03On the M42 southbound at junction J6, minor delays are possible due to a broken down vehicle closing one lane. Normal traffic conditions expected from 10:45 am.

21/05/2013 11:50:03The A46 from The M5 towards Coventry will be closed between the junctions with the A3400 and the A439, due to roadworks, between 8 pm and 6 am, from 7 May 2013 to 4 June 2013.
