In 1962 her first solo single ‘Don’t Make Me Over’ launched her career and marked her as a musician of the highest calibre. Two years later ‘Walk on By’ firmly established Dionne’s musical heritage, with 5 Grammy’s to follow and a lifetime of musical achievements. Everyone has a favourite Dionne Warwick song, from ‘Do You Know The Way To San Jose’ (released 1969) to ‘That’s What Friends Are For’, her collaboration in 1987 with Elton John, Gladys Knight & Stevie Wonder.
More recently Dionne has been recording a new album produced by Phil Ramone, featuring new material from her long time friend, icon and composer Burt Baccarach. Her live show is hit after hit of sheer joy and brilliance. Scintillating, soothing and sensual, for 50 years, Dionne’s voice has remained a cornerstone of pop music and culture.
