The release of "The Midnight Organ Fight", the second studio album of Glasgow-based indie rock band "Frightened Rabbit" paved the way for the band's commercial and critical success. Formed in 2003, the band's lineup consists of lyricist, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Scott Hutchison, Billy Kennedy (bass and guitars), Andy Monaghan (guitarist), Grant Hutchison (drummer) and Gordon Skene (guitarist and keyboardist). The band's name Frightened Rabbit was a moniker used by Scott Hutchison for his solo shows and a name his mother gave him because of his chronic shyness. However, unlike what the name suggests, the band is nowhere near frightened nor shy. Vocalist and lyricist Scott Hutchison leads the band with his deep, muscular voice and highly emotive lyrics. State Hospital EP was released on September 25 via Atlantic and is supposed to tie the fans over as the band is completing their fourth studio album which is slated to be released on early 2013. The lead track "State Hospital" features melancholic lyrics weaved with thundering drum beats and distinctive guitar riffs. The final track, "Wedding Gloves", features Arab Strap's Aidan Moffatt.
