The Baptism world tour will promote Lennys eagerly anticipated seventh studio album Baptism which is scheduled for release this month.
Baptism sees Lenny come full circle since the release of his debut 1989 album Let Love Rule. The Grammy Award winning star said Its strange, man, but Ive made my first record all over again. Thats how it feels, as pure as the beginning. Baptism marks a musical and spiritual rebirth. Thats what this album is all about.
All the instruments on Baptism were played by Lenny; (except for string sections and saxophones) from every thumping bass line to every lofty drum kick and rocketing guitar riff.
The authentic icon of 60s/70s soul, funk and rock has resonated onwards with a timeless back catalogue of tracks including Are You Gonna Go My Way, Fly Away, Believe and the beautiful soul ballad It Aint Over Till Its Over.
