Mahlers Symphony of a Thousand, so called as it needs a huge orchestra, double choir, childrens chorus and thunderous organ might have been written with Symphony Hall and the CBSOs forces in mind! Sir Simon Rattles account at the 2002 Proms was described as a remarkable performance and these two rare accounts with an outstanding international cast will be among the musical events of the year be sure to book early!
