The Drifters: American 'Doo-wop'/R&B group 'The Drifters' have had many different incarnations since their formation in the early 1950s.

They are believed to have had, in total, 65 different members since 1953! The two most notable periods are perhaps 'The Original Drifters' formed by Clyde McPhatter and the second version formed by George Treadwell which featured Ben E King.

Both incarnations have been separately inducted into the 'Vocal Group Hall of Fame'.

The Drifters: The Drifters will be performing live gig at Alexandra Theatre venue in Birmingham, West Midlands on the 11 Sep 10.
