Are you brave enough to enter the darkness of The Barracks ?
Located in Full street , the land dates back to 1280 and was quite a busy and important area of Derby, housing many stalls and shops within the area.
Within close proximity of the Barracks is the 14th Century Derby Cathedral, during the protestant persucations of Queen Mary, famous resident Joan Waste, was tried for heresy at the Cathedral in 1556. Her execution took place on the Burton Road,in Derby, and it's likely she may well have walked along full street to meet her fate.
It's also said that a school once stood on the site that the Barracks now stands.
Paranormal Activity :
Large barrels have been heard being moved around on the upper levels of the building when no one is around.
The sound of a young child singing has been heard numerous times in various areas.
The oppressive energy of quite a stern gentleman who does'nt seem very fond of people being in his territory has been experienced.
The building is now predominantly used for Airlift during the day, many of the users have reportedly fired at a "crouching man" on upstairs landing who has then ran upstairs to then dissapear into thin air, also BB pellets have been known to be thrown and rolled across the floor of certain upstairs rooms.
