Great Western Lego Show: The Great Western LEGO Show is the largest display of models built by LEGO fans in the UK.

The show is hosted by STEAM - Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon and all displays are by members of the Brickish Association. Every year, Brickish members bring their amazing creations to inspire all LEGO fans, young and old. Its a fantastic day out for all the family.

The Great Western LEGO Show was a huge success last year, with over 5,700 visitors coming from all over the UK and a few from even further afield! This year we are expecting to create an even better experience for everyone with all new models, presentations and activities and competitions.

The show started back in 2002 with just a handful of people bringing a single LEGO train layout for one day that attracted around three hundred visitors. 2010 will be the 8th time the event has taken place and in that time it has increased to being a two-day show with the number of Brickish members displaying their work increasing to over 70 last year.

Stonehenge is one of the most recognisable sites in the world. Its image has been reproduced in countless places, and its purpose has been the source of endless speculation. We take a look at a few explanations behind this striking monument.

FEATUREGreat British food festivals

The French may think that we're just a nation of 'les rosbifs', but ask any Brit what they think of our cuisine and they'll tell you that we're a world-leader in high quality food. To celebrate and bring together the diversity of cuisine in Britain, food festivals are popping up all across the country. It's enough to make those Gallic chefs choke on their snails.

FEATURETandem skydive with Red Letter Days

Throwing yourself out of a plane at 10,000 feet might be considered utter madness. But if close friends start wondering aloud about your sanity (or the contents of your will), you can reassure them that you'll be attached (literally) to an expert instructor and that, frankly, you're in for an experience so exhilarating that you'll probably never stop talking about it.
