A Harry Potter look-a-like is adding a touch of magic to the free Halloween activities taking place at The Shires Shopping Centre this Octob
Monday 24th October - 12pm to 1.30pm and 2pm to 3.30pm
From juggling to stilt-walking, children will have the opportunity to learn an array of fun circus skills.
Tuesday 25th to Sunday 30th October
Visitors are invited to take a selfie with Halloween props and upload the photo to The Shires Facebook page by. The picture that receives the most likes will win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (10 inch). The winner will be notified on Monday 31st October.
Tuesday 25th October - 11am to 4pm
Local children’s entertainer Dave Hickory will be creating a variety of spooky shapes when he brings his balloon modelling skills to the centre.
Wednesday 26th October - 11am to 3pm
A free face painter will be turning children into anything they want to be.
Thursday 27th & Friday 28th October - 12pm to 4pm
Visitors will be able to carve a scary face during a free pumpkin carving workshop and take home their creation. There will also be the chance to win a Kindle Fire.
Saturday 29th October - 12pm to 4pm
A Harry Potter look-a-like will be in the centre and shoppers are invited to take a photo with him. There will also be the chance for young visitors to come dressed in their scariest costumes and take part in a Safe Trick or Treating event. Simply spot one of eight hidden pumpkin posters displayed in shop windows around the centre and pop inside to receive a sweet treat from a member of staff. A free face painter will also be on hand to add the finishing touches to any costume.
Children taking part in the Safe Trick or Treating event must be accompanied by an adult.
