Halfpenny At War: The war is returning to Wolverhampton's Halfpenny Green Airport, on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May, 2012. Displays will be featured between the hangars and on the airfield of this former wartime base.

As before, this is not an exclusively Northern Forties only event - if your group wants to come along to join in with the fun, you are more than welcome to do so. All re-enactment groups with static displays and military vehicle owners are invited to join us to make this a major attraction in the area.

We welcome Allied and Axis forces (no SS or Japanese), period civilians and Womens Land Army to come along and muck in for the weekend.

Here is a list of what will be at the event:

* Allied and Axis encampments

* Displays of wartime weapons, equipment and uniforms

* Memorabilia, militaria, vintage clothing and trade stalls

* Original WW2 hangers, control tower and buildings all being excellent backdrops for unique photos

* Spitfire seen in the film 'Pearl Harbour' on display

* Hurricane seen in the film 'Battle of Britain' on display

* Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast applied for

Please note, this is a display event and is intended for groups and individuals who have period militaria and civilian displays to show to the public.

Free entry to re-enactors with static displays and/or appropriate period vehicle.
