The Enemy Show rescheduled to Sunday 6 August 2023
The EnemyIn 2007, The Enemy emerged from their working class roots in Coventry to become one of the biggest new bands around. Their debut album We'll Live And Die In These Towns went straight to No.1 and would later be certified Platinum in recognition of over 300,000 sales.
The trio landed another two Top 10 albums, two Top 10 singles, three major awards (from NME, Q and XFM), shows with The Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Oasis, The Killers, Kasabian, Bon Jovi, Manic Street Preachers and Stereophonics, and even a special rooftop performance at Wembley Stadium ahead of the FA Cup Final.
The tour features the band's original and only line-up Tom Clarke (vocals & guitar), Andy Hopkins (bass) and Liam Watts (drums) and represents the first chance for fans to see the band in action since they played three sold out farewell shows in their hometown back in 2016.
With support from Skylights & The Illicits.
Infusing brit pop and post punk influences from the likes of Oasis, Courteeners and The Verve, indie rock quartet Skylights are building a palpable buzz in the North. Following on from their debut single, 'YRA', which was featured on Leeds United 100 year anniversary video, and a live appearance on Soccer AM, Skylights have sold out headline shows at Belgrave music hall (350 capacity), The Wardrobe (450 capacity) and Leeds University sold out in less then a week (1000 capacity).
Following support slots with the likes of Shed Seven and The Sherlocks, and a sold out Yorkshire tour, Skylights are ready to hit the ground running in 2022 with new music and the release of their debut album. The summer will see the four piece play headline shows in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dublin, as well as their biggest ever headline show at O2 Academy Leeds (2400 capacity). On 27th September they will support The Enemy at Bridlington Spa, a boyhood dream come true for the band.
The Illicits are a 4 piece Rock band from Blackburn, Lancashire. The quartet who recently signed to Alan McGee's Creation 23 label are creating a major buzz by their music whilst paying homage to their roots of Northern Industry. Before they even released a single the band sold-out a hometown show at Blackburn's Electric Church and appeared and performed on TV show Soccer AM.
This is a general admission standing concert.
