Born in Staffordshire, Dave first performed live at the 1998 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and soon went on to write and star in hit TV shows including The Mrs Merton Show, Reasons to be Chearful, and Dave Gorman's Better World.
Among his listed ambitions are to appear as captain on the quiz show Call My Bluff!
