Underground Ghosts: Join Fright Nights (the original ghost hunting company est 1999) for a ghost hunt at RAF Holmpton. With over 15,000 personnel having passed through the base, there is no surprise that it has a great deal of paranormal activity. Originally known as RAF Patrington, during the 1940s plans came into action for new radar systems to be installed at various sites across Britain, with this site being one. Construction took about 18 months with the site undergoing testing during late 1953, becoming fully operational in 1954.

For years this place has remained a secret even in the local area, where most people simply did not know of the existence or purpose of such a substantial facility. Just one or two of them may have worked here but even today they cannot tell their story.

Today all that can be seen on the surface at Holmpton is the guardroom since the main building is some distance underground! The underground base covers over 26,000 sq ft and we have special access to the three operation rooms, situation room, communication centre, computer rooms, command pit, dormitories, canteen, officers mess, plant rooms and more!

Over the years there have been many reports of uniformed men appearing in various rooms only to vanish into thin air! There is one particular gentleman that is seen quite regularly in the operation room and witnessed by multiple people at the same time.

Visitors to the centre have experienced very uncomfortable feelings such as being watched and pushed to the floor. It is alleged that a former pilot reduced to a desk job haunts the location. After starting the new job he began drinking

The presence of a former pilot who was reduced to doing a desk job after an accident has also been reported. Soon after starting this new vocation the ex-pilot became increasingly depressed and started drinking, heavily. Mediums and clairvoyants have sensed his energy - will you encounter him during the investigation?

Fright Nights have hired the whole building for the night for a very exclusive paranormal investigation. The night begins with a special tour of the building detailing real-life experiences and historical information researched by experts. This will set the scene before you are joined by experienced paranormal investigators and mediums to try and experience paranormal activity in one of the most haunted buildings in Yorkshire. Full use of Ghost Hunting and Psychic equipment will be provided as well as hot refreshments through the night

Over 18s only. Please view our terms and conditions before booking, which can be found on our website.
