Role Play

Keighley Playhouse, Monday, 05 March 2012 - Saturday, 10 March 2012

Role Play: Alan Ayckbourn's Role Play revolves around the most rudimentary of farcical premises. Computer programmer Justin Lazenby and his girlfriend Julie-Ann Dobson are about to have a well-rehearsed selective dinner party for both their parents at his riverside apartment. This carefully planned social gathering is to announce Justin and Julie-Ann's intention to marry; although there are already a few cracks in the relationship - not least Julie-Ann's humour bypass.

The stressed Julie-Ann wants everything to be perfect for her prim and proper parents but before the dinner party begins the discovery of a missing utensil causes panic. When a woman falls on to their balcony from four floors above, the odd couple have far more than cutlery to worry about.

Role Play at Keighley Playhouse in Keighley, Yorkshire on Monday, 05 March 2012.
