Frazer Theatre Comedy Club Miscellaneous

The Frazer Theatre Comedy Club is back from it's summer break and brings you ALISTAIR BARRIE, KEITH FARNAN, HARRIET DYER and STEPHANIE LAING

ALISTAIR BARRIE
Comedian, actor and writer Alistair Barrie is one of the most sought after performers on the international comedy circuit. He has worked throughout the UK and Ireland, as well as further afield in the States, Australia, Switzerland, The Netherlands, South Africa, Estonia, Mumbai, The Channel Islands, Austria, Antibes, Cyprus, Crete, Luxembourg, Qatar, Belgium, Prague, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Norway, Hong Kong, Macau, Malta, Singapore, Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur, Egypt, Afghanistan, Hungary, Jordan, Athens and Myanmar, on a ship in the North Sea and at the world's highest gig on top of a mountain in France.
Alistair is a core member of The Cutting Edge team at London's Comedy Store and has made numerous radio and television appearances around the world. A regular at corporate events and festivals, he has taken seven solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival - his 2012 show 'Urban Fogey' and 2015 show 'No More Stage Three' were both runner up for best show at the Fringe in the Amused Moose Laughter Awards. No More Stage Three was then invited to the 2016 Perth Festival in Australia before a European tour and dates at London's prestigious Soho Theatre

KEITH FARNAN
Having appeared on BBC’s Michael Mcintyre Comedy Roadshow as well as adapting his own comedy documentary for RTE, Money, Money, Money: Keith Farnan versus the Economy, Keith has just topped an outstanding eighteen months by appearing at the Montreal Just For Laughs All Access show for the Canadian Comedy Network and Hollands highest rating comedy show, The Comedy Factory. In America, Showtime have Keith has appeared on their new standup show, Live From Amsterdam, which brings together the best American and European comedians working today.
He has performed as a stand-up all over the world, from Montreal to Amsterdam to Hong Kong. His four Edinburgh Festival shows have proved a powerful mix of the personal and the political and have sold out their runs at the major comedy festivals in the UK as well as the Soho Theatre and Royal Festival Hall in London.

STEPHANIE LAING
Goofy and peculiar, Stephanie Laing’s comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.

Stephanie started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit. She had shows at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014 and 2015, and has performed at The Stand, The Comedy Store, The Comedy Cafe, Crack Comedy, Downstairs at The King’s Head, Mirth Control, Hilarity Bites, Eminent Banter and XS Malarkey, among others. She was a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2015. She is now based in Manchester.

HARRIET DYER
Fresh and unique, it’s a pleasure to spend time in Harriet’s company as she weaves her surreal and hilarious tales. An imitable raconteur, it’s easy to see how Harriet is making a big noise. Harriet already has heads turning with her baffling tales of a misspent youth, and bewildering personal tales that are so ridiculous, they must be true. Establishing her own style of material and delivery after such a short time, means Harriet’s stock can only continue to rise.
A unique comic voice, Dyer charms any room with matchless material, an offbeat stage presence and a truly whirlwind fizz of energy

As ever tickets remain at £10 in advance and are available from the Old Chemist Shop, Market Place, Knaresborough, by calling 07835 927965 or from our online box office at www.frazertheatre.co.uk . Any tickets are available for £12 on the door.

Doors open at 7.30pm, show starts at 8pm.
