The line up for April is:
Alfie Moore
Alfie is an original and distinctive comedian with his niche area as a serving police sergeant. He came slightly later to comedy and brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival!
He has an observational comedic style, which lends itself to witty, and sometimes gritty, anecdotes based on everyday modern policing. He also is an adept socio-political commentator and weaves this all together with his take on the ‘comedy gold’ of life.
Ian Smith
Ian Smith is an award-winning comedian, actor and writer. Since starting at a young age, Ian has developed a reputation as an exciting, creative comic. Mixing conversational, energetic storytelling and observations with unique set pieces and an exceptional skill for improvisation – Ian is a regular at the biggest comedy clubs in the UK.
His 2017 Edinburgh show, Snowflake, won two awards – the Amused Moose Comedy Award People’s Champion and a Three Weeks Editors’ Award – and played to sell out rooms and critical acclaim.
Morgan Rees
Morgan is welsh comedian with a densely packed set of one-liners and short stories. He has reached the prestigious finals of Chortle Student Comedy Award 2017 and BBC New Comedy Award and came 2nd runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny 2017.
Phil Chapman
Phil’s playful brand of comedy is unique and infectious. With a set that blends anecdotes and observations with a healthy dose of banter, his happy-go-lucky approach and mischievous on-stage persona, delights audiences far and wide.
As a comedy writer, he’s provided content for BBC Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra and has both written and produced material for social media which has attracted over 6 million video views to date.
