Kylesa: Kylesa, a sludgy rock band from Savannah, Georgia, USA combine indie, punk and metal to create their own unique stoner sound.
It's rumoured they took their name from Kylesa Mara which is the Buddhist term for states of mental delusion.
By incorporating psychedelic rock into their sound, along with the fierce drumming supplied by two drummers, Kylesa's tunes can easily lull listeners into various stages of music-induced delusion. Although they've only been around for just over a decade, they've managed a couple of line-up changes, most tragically after the death of bassist, Michael Duke.
Their recording history includes five studio albums, five EPs as well as a few joint releases with other bands like Memento Mori. Kylesa are currently touring Europe with gigs in the UK kicking off at the Haunt in Brighton on 19 February.
After the tour, watch out for an appearance at the German Wacken Festival in August.
