Leeds Valentines Fun Fair: The Great Leeds Valentines Fun Fair: Its was the UKs first and is still the largest Valentines Event in the country, and for a 21st year its back in Leeds for the Half Term holidays from Thursday 9th until Sunday 19th of February on the Elland Road Car Parks alongside Leeds United Football Club.
Amongst the array of Roller Coasters, thrill rides, family rides, Dodgems, Twists and Waltzers which have always been the staple diet of the Valentines Fair, there will be a number of new attractions this year. One new ride that will make its first appearance at the fair will be the Sky Flyer one of only two types in the UK while also new will be the only Millennium ride in the country and the Take Off.
The countrys largest portable Roller Coaster the popular Crazy Mouse is back and is one of five which includes the only portable vertical lift Roller Coaster in Europe. These rides amongst the 150 attractions on offer will give thrill seekers and families an amazing experience.
Also there were plenty of rides for those who enjoy more traditional fairground rides, including the ever-popular Gallopers, Ghost Train and four Fun Houses.
The fair also offers visitors the chance to enjoy many other attractions, such as giant prize games, food and novelty stalls and the numerous side shows that are on offer, including an indoor seating area.
The fun gets underway at 5pm on Thursday 9th of February with the fairs official opening and will then be open daily from 1pm until 10.30pm through to and including Sunday 19th of February with the exception of Friday 10th (opening 5pm - 10.30pm) Saturday 11th (opening 6pm - 10pm) and Saturday 18th (opening 6pm - 10.30pm) and due to football fixtures.
And to celebrate its 21st year there will be a huge firework display over the fair on Thursday 16th of February at 8.30pm.
This years chosen charities which the fair will be supporting is Martin House Hospice which cares for Children and Young People with progressive life limiting illnesses, and provides support to their families in a purpose built hospice in Boston Spa, Wetherby and Cash for Kids.
And if you really want to soak up all the fun of the fair, pay a visit to the free model show on Saturday 19th of February in the Leeds United Banqueting Suite from 11am until 4.00pm and see all the rides in miniature as well as a number of trade stands and refreshments.
Parking is free at the Valentines Fair; however Elland Road is well served by First Leeds Bus Services nos 51 and 55 from Vicar Lane stand M7 outside the market.
Organisers are promising that all childrens rides will be operating at just one pound at all times again and 28 of the large rides just 1.50 when the fair is open midweek from 1pm until 6pm with visitors encouraged to log on to our website for free fun fair vouchers which are valid anytime and will reduce the large rides even further midweek between 1pm and 6pm to a staggering bargain busting £1 each.
