Owl City: Formed in 2007, 'Owl City' is the project of musician Alan Young.
He claims to be influenced by disco and European electronic music.
Before his record deal was sealed he released two independent albums, then went on to release a third, after which his mainstream popularity grew.
The album 'Ocean Eyes' and single 'Fireflies' put him on the musical map.
He is due to release 'All Things Bright and Beautiful' in 2011.
