Protest the Hero: Protest the Hero is a Canadian progressive metal band from Ontario.

They were originally named Happy Go Lucky when they formed in 1999; the band line-up remains the same.

The band changed their name in 2002 just before they released their debut EP ‘Search for the Truth’.

In 2005 the band released a full length album ‘Kezia with indie label Underground Operations.

Their second, full length album ‘Fortress’ was released in 2008.

Their third most recent studio album was released on 22 March 2011.

Protest the hero have toured with many bands including ‘In Flames’ Bullet For My Valentine’ and Between the Buried and Me’.

Most recently Protest the Hero was the third band announced to play at Australia’s Soundwave Festival in February/March 2011.
