Revolucion De Cuba: The UK's favourite vodka bar, Revolution is creating 35 new local jobs after choosing Sheffield to open its first dedicated Rum Club bar concept in the UK - Revolucion de Cuba.
Revolucion de Cuba, which will be based on Mappin Street in Sheffield, will be officially unveiled on Friday April 1st with a spectacular launch party weekend.
The exciting new concept bar will serve over 50 rums, with the Rum Club concept building on the growing popularity of the Cuban spirit and taste for classic cocktails such as the Mojito and the Daiquiri.
James Whitlam, general manager and 'Rum-Meister' at Revolucion de Cuba in Sheffield, said: 'To be the first Revolution bar in the UK to be introducing the new Rum Club concept is a major coup for Sheffield.
'As well as creating 35 new jobs locally within the bar and hospitality sector, we feel that a dedicated rum bar will prove a big hit with customers in Sheffield -particularly given the global popularity of this fashionable spirit. The birth of Revolucion de Cuba in Sheffield is an exciting time for the company, as we look to build on the success experienced by our other city-centre bar venue on Fitzwilliam Street.'
The decor and layout of the bar is inspired by the original 1930's bars of Havana and blended with the cool chic of Cuban-inspired Miami hotels. Generous laid back booths catering for larger groups are complemented by authentic rum barrels for those who prefer to stand, whilst handmade tiles decorate the walls to complete the overall look of an authentic Cuban bar.
Live music and salsa will be a major part of recreating the fun Cuban party vibe which is associated with the vibrant city of Havana.
With great food and drink complemented by a vibrant atmosphere, the venue is tailor made for customers who wish to book private parties ranging from corporate events to special occasions with families and friends. Themed nights catering for the city's student population will also be held throughout the week.
Those wishing to reserve tickets for the VIP launch weekend (Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd) can do so online, with further information and opportunities to book private parties available by phoning 0114 279 9250.
Revolution was founded in 1996 in Manchester and now has 65 venues across the country. The unique bar group offers 30 different flavour vodka infusions, all created in Revolution's own Vodka Factory in Manchester. It was named as among the Sunday Times' Best Places to work and landed the number 1 spot for Most Fun places to work, 2011.
