When John "Johnny Rotten" Lydon left the Sex Pistols and formed Public Image Ltd to say it was a big change is a big understatement. Gone was the punk rock "image" and conventions and what stood in its place something completely new and exciting. PIL played experimental music with no rules. Sometimes off tempo drone rock, sometimes incorporating more of a pop feel. Managing themselves and owning their record label - plus Lydon's name gave them all the freedom in the world. Ultimately Public Image Limited recorded eight albums of great music and developed a live show every bit as fierce as their punk predecessors. Some highlights included the classic single "This is Not a Love Song" and fan beloved album''This Is What You Want... This Is What You Get." Interested?
