EXPELAIRES (post-punk since '78)
"Recorded BBC session for John Peel show/recorded "To See You" c/w "Frequency" for Zoo Records (1978). Recorded "Sympathy" c/w "Kicks" for Rockburgh Records (1979)."Sympathy" included on "Hicks from the Sticks" compilation album (Rockburgh Records).
Performed mailnly around Leeds area but performed several times with Zoo label mates Echo and the Bunnymen and Teardrop Explodes outside of Leeds. Performed at legendary 1st "Futurama" festival (Leeds Queens Hall). Also provided support slots for Mekons and Gang of Four around London. Offically split in 1981.
Former members left to spawn a host of seminal Leeds bands namely Sisters of Mercy,Girls at our Best,Red Lorry Yellow Lorry,Music for Pleasure. Reformed in 2012 to play at F-Club 35th reunion & then decided to continue as a working unit. 2014 saw the release of the 1st recordings in over 30 years with the E.P "Sick Of Lies" . 2015 saw the band consolidate themselves as a powerful live act, sharing the stage with acts such as Salvation, Spear of Destiny, Department S & The Ruts DC. 2016 sees the release of the bands 1st ever album, Feedom" & the band continue to play live concerts."

THE PLATITUDES (8-piece ska-punk)
"Hey. We are The Platitudes. We are approximately 8 people who love to cobble together ska, punk and other junk whilst getting distracted by video game theme tunes and shoddy covers.
We play gigs when real life plays nice and we write music that we enjoy playing and we hope you enjoy it too. We have been fortunate to play with some wonderful people (you know who you are) in some cracking places (free sausage hotpot at Cheddar cheese in Buxton).
With influences from Strung Out to The Shadows, Good Riddance to GaGa, come and see us and get your dancing shoes on."

DEATHSEX BLOOBATH (sleazy glam-punk from Coventry)

THE SNAKERATTLERS (rockabilly/deathpunk)
"Snakerattlers is a band comprising of Franceens members Dan Oliver Gott and Naomi Westerman. It's a hellbound voyage of deathpunk, rockabilly, country, and traditional greaser rock and roll. Stood up, shook up, dynamic drumming. Reverb-drenched double-amped guitar. Aggressive and sweetly mournful vocals. A screaming, wailing brand new take on the rockabilly genre."
Apparently, the tunes on Soundcloud don't prepare you for how they destroy the stage...having put the The Franceens on at The Fenton a few times, I can well believe it!!!!

AUTOMATIC IS EASY (indie/rock/post-punk)
"Automatic is Easy are a band formed by 4 guys united by their love of curry....erm....no...music...yes that's right. We have played a few gigs but are now working on original material."
I've heard one of their new tracks that they've just done in the studio...rockin' stuff, powerful, punky, and a bit psychedelic . Should be a good start to the night!
