"The Killer At The Ceilidh Murder Mystery Dinner - Burns Night
Welcome to a Moonstone Murder Mystery, introducing tonight’s story The Killer at the Ceilidh.Burns Night celebrations always followed a set pattern for the McGregor family. The entrance of the Haggis, the traditional Burns Night Supper, a reading or two from the works of the great man, and a Ceilidh dance to round the evening off. This year was to be no different as family and friends gathered.
However, things took a darker turn before the festivities had even started when a police officer arrived with bad news. Alasdair McGregor the patriarch of the family, and fiddler for the ceilidh dance with his brother Brodie, who played the squeezebox, had been found dead in the main hall where the ceilidh dance was due to take place. He had been hit over the head with a blunt instrument.
But who could have done such a thing, and why? The Police Officer allows the supper to proceed but has narrowed down to four those he wishes to talk to, and he calls on the other guests present to help him in searching out the guilty party or parties. As the evening unfolds long held secrets are revealed, and tensions rise. It is to be hoped that there will not be second death.
All the clues will be there, but will they be correctly deduced? The Investigator, with the help of the other guests at the Supper, is determined to get to the truth before the night is out.
