Crucified Barbara is an all-female Swedish hard rock and heavy metal band formed in Stockholm in 1998Initially rooted in punk, they quickly embraced a heavier sound, blending hard rock with metal and trash sensibilitiesThe quartet-Mia Coldheart (lead vocals,lead guitar), Klara Force (guitar), Ida Evileye (bass), and Nicki Wicked (drums)-released four acclaimed studio albums between 2005 and 2014: In Distortion We Trust, ’Til Death Do Us Party, The Midnight Chase, and In The Red
Despite widespread worldwide touring-including festival appearances and a stint in Melodifestivalen-they disbanded in 2016, citing burnout and a loss of joy in playing together In a heartfelt turn, the original lineup announced a reunion in October 2024 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, planning a comeback at Sweden Rock Festival in June 2025 Vocalist Mia describes the reunion as feeling “like coming home” after reconnecting with her bandmates over a beer, rehearsing, and rediscovering their shared passion
