In Conversation with Nursing Pioneers: Migration and Health Inequalities
Ever since Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole, nurses have blazed a trail in healthcare. They have pioneered improvements in practice, carried out cutting-edge research and advanced education. This event brings together a panel of RCN Fellows to explore immigration and social justice in nursing.
It will be chaired by Nola Ishmael OBE, a Barbadian nurse who became the first Black director of nursing in London. The panel will bring a range of different experiences of working in the field of research, education and practice on migration, health inequalities and social justice: Professor Calvin Moorley MBE, Jason Warriner and Felicia Kwaku OBE.
This event is online and open to all.
2026 is the 50th year in which the RCN has recognised innovative nurses by awarding annual Fellowships. The Roll of Honour lists almost 200 RCN Fellows who have made exceptional contributions to advancing the science and practice of nursing and improving health and patient care.
