Join us for a weekend packed full of 40's Living History and Nostalgia 1940s Weekender and AirFest* come together !Based on an original 1940's RAF station, Shobdon Airfield, nr LeominsterHR6 9NR
Initially a British Army camp used as a reception point for Dunkirk evacuees in 1940, the site was later developed into an airfield, with runways constructed in 1943The airfield provided critical training for airborne operations, including the invasion of Sicily, the D-Day landings in Normandy, and the Battle of Arnhem
