The Suffolk Show is returning to Trinity Park in Ipswich this May half term, offering an action-packed day out of food, farming and fun
Organised by the Suffolk Agricultural Association, the Suffolk Show is a highlight in the East Anglian calendar, bringing together the very best of farming and agriculture, independent makers, artisan food producers, sport, military and more
Spanning across 300 acres, the Suffolk Show offers hundreds of things to see and do for free, including action-packed displays across 12 competition ringsThis year visitors can look to the skies for the incredibly return of the RAF Falcons and Red Devils Parachute Display Teams on the Wednesday and Thursday respectively, hosted in the Collins Grand Ring
Around the Showground there are 10 ‘zones’ packed with interactive have-a-go activities and games, including the following popular highlights this year: - Glasswells Flower and Garden Experience: see the winners of the Suffolk Schools Show Garden Competition- Military Zone: climb abord combat vehicles and see the mighty machinery- Farming Live: watch giant machines in action, telling the story of maize farming- Farm Discovery Zone: meet the animals, climb a straw pyramid, or ride on a mini tractor- Nature Zone: try pond dipping and bug hunting in this peaceful wildlife haven at the Show- Sports Village: this area is packed with free sports and games including BMX cycling, dance, climbing, and challenges with Ipswich Town Football Club- Emergency Services Zone: meet your local blue-light heroes, sit in a rapid response vehicle or have a go on a mini motorbike
Alongside family entertainment, the Suffolk Show is a major platform for the county’s independent businesses with over 800 tradestands around the siteVisitors can browse local produce in the Adnams Food and Drink Experience, experience global street food on Greene King Eat Street, discover boutique fashion brands on Dummett Copp Fifth Avenue and the Lifestyle Pavillion, meet local painters and sculptors in the Art Show, or support independent makers in the Rural Craft Area
