Rock 4 Dementia takes Its mission on the road to Brighton for 2026 Fundraising Event and gains support from well known names
Rock 4 Dementia - the grassroots live-music fundraising event founded in 2020 by Southport couple Sharon and Neil Thompson - is heading to Brighton for the first time on 29 March 2026, bringing a full day of live performances to raise vital funds for Dementia UK. Created in memory of Sharon's mum, who lived with vascular dementia for nine years, Rock 4 Dementia has already raised over £5,000 in aid of Dementia UK who provide specialist dementia nurses (Admiral Nurses) for families navigating their way through a loved one's dementia journey. What began as a local passion project born from love, loss, and a shared devotion to live music has now grown into a recognised annual event supported by musicians all over the UK.
This year's Brighton event has been coordinated by a dedicated team of patrons led by Martin Parrott ('Marty Love' of Johnny Moped, Wingmen, The Sixx and many more bands), with support from fellow patrons Maxine Talulah (The Sixx), Kairen Kemp (producer and presenter for BBC Upload and Radio Reverb), Will Moore (The Prince Albert, Brighton) and punk icon Charlie Harper, widely known as the Godfather of Punk - all of whom have an extensive background and are highly respected in the world of music.
The 2026 event will take place on 29th March at The Prince Albert, Brighton, running from 1pm to 10pm and will showcase a vibrant mix of talent - from homegrown Brighton acts to musicians travelling from as far as Scotland to perform.
