The Oak Barn Restaurant, Burgess Hill has always been known for its merriments throughout December – the magic of the season is brought to life with delicious food, joyful hospitality and festive atmosphere! Throughout the month, guests can indulge into our Christmas Lunches, Christmas Dinners, nine of our popular Party, Disco & Entertainment Nights, as well as our Boxing Day Lunch & New Years Eve celebrations. Rather excitingly, we are opening our doors on New Year’s Day! Our festive three course menu inclusive of traditional Christmas crackers for every booking is available each lunch (excluding Boxing Day & New Year’s Day) and dinner (excluding their party nights & New Years Eve). You can expect Christmas favourites such as brandied chicken liver pate, Roast Sussex Turkey and steamed Christmas pudding to crackling loaded pork and white chocolate and orange crème Brulee. To celebrate the season, we are the perfect place to host either intimate gatherings or large parties for families, social groups and work events. We can cater from 2 to 180 guests, and all sized parties are welcome – we will ensure your celebration is catered for! For those looking to celebrate in style, we are offering our Christmas Dinner, Disco & Entertainment Party Nights which have proved popular year on year and will be returning for 2025. A combination of great food with plenty of fun - three-course menu, interactive ‘Name That Tune’ bingo, an amusing game of ‘Heads & Tails’, cabaret entertainment and disco hosted by the renowned Tobias – best get those dancing shoes on for the remainder of the evening! Boxing Day is the ideal way to relax after the bustle of Christmas Day. Our three-course menu is served from 12pm until 230pm, and guests can enjoy the atmosphere, excellent food and service without the washing up! The Boxing Day menu comprises of dishes such as roast duck breast, glazed gammon and an apple, cranberry and clementine crumble tart – perfect dishes to celebrate Boxing Day. This year’s New Years Eve will have a slightly different approach. An elegant two or three course menus available between 6pm and 9pm, alongside live mellow music from local and talented guitarist Duncan. The global firework spectacular will be live on screen setting the nostalgic feeling of the forthcoming new year. After many requests, we will be opening their doors to welcome you all on New Years Day. Enjoy your first lunch with family and friends of 2026 with our Ala Carte Menu alongside specially curated specials. We will be open from 11am, serving food from 12pm until 3pm. The Oak Barn prides themselves on using locally sourced produce, freshly prepared daily in house, delivered to your plates, hot! The well stocked bar includes all you need to celebrate the festive season, and there will be homemade mulled wine available to create true Christmas spirit. The Oak Barn will be beautifully decorated from their private dining area, The Cartroom, through the main restaurant, gallery and bar area and will continue into our Courtyard where a fabulous Nutcracker Winter Wonderland awaits!
