The beloved Village Flower Festival returns once again this summer, celebrating over six decades of floral beauty, community spirit, and heritage conservation, offering a weekend of vibrant sights, sounds, and tastes for all ages
This long-established charity event, which began over 60 years ago, raises essential funds for the conservation and repair of St Margaret's Church a Grade I listed buildingA historic gem dating back to the 1300s being the oldest building in the village
Highlights of the Festival Include:

- Over 20 private gardens-from classic cottage styles to contemporary landscapes-open to the public
- The church decorated with stunning floral arrangements, musical accompaniment provided organists and harpist; jazz concert Saturday evening and Festival Evensong on Sunday
- Traditional Morris dancing, showcasing the village's historic roots
- A local pub providing hog roast and refreshments throughout the village
- Electric river boat trips offering peaceful scenic rides
- Art exhibitions, displays of historic cars, motorcycles and vintage tractors
- A plant stall, arts and crafts market, second hand books, and performances from live bands
- Teas with homemade cakes are available in some gardens
