A demonstration by Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society member Bronwen Corrall of her thrown porcelain vessels
The two main themes of Bron's work are the vessel as a medium for artistic expression, and the infinite variations within a natural population. Within her work she creates small families of thrown and turned porcelain vessels - each different but each reflecting others in the group. She sees in any natural grouping, from mountains to pebbles or fruit to people, similarities that demark a population and variations that illustrate both subtle and obvious changes created by history, heredity and environment. The meeting will be held at Little Kingshill Village Hall (HP16 0DZ) from 2-4pm on Thursday 31st August. Entry is free for BPSS members, £5 for visitors.
