The Silent Era is an alt-rock London-based four piece. Vocalist Bri Macanas (Black Palms, The Midnight Vortex, Silhouettes), guitarist Chris Schwarten, multi-instrumentalist but mostly bassist Nicolas Zappa and drummer Conor McCarthy started the band during the pandemic. Although each member comes from a different country with their own background and musical projects, they found their common playground in The Silent Era by drenching instruments in distortion and reverb, exploring various aspects of rock music and writing songs about how self-centric our society has increasingly become (see first single Heavy Cure, 2023)
