THE INTENSE BY PHILADELPHIA POP UP TOUR HEADS TO LIVERPOOL EUROVISION FINAL,
BRINGING TWELVE POINTS OF FLAVOUR TO THE DAY

The Intense by Philadelphia pop up tour is coming to Liverpool ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest Final, on Saturday 13th May from 9am – 5pm

Passers-by will be able to try two new recipes created especially for the campaign by food guru and TV presenter, Gok Wan

The Intense by Philadelphia tour is celebrating life’s more intense moments, which the average adult in the Northwest is revealed to experience nine a year – including watching their favourite sports team compete (30%), moving house (64%), or experiencing a proposal (40%)

Celebrating the intense moments in life, the Intense by Philadelphia pop up tour is heading to Liverpool at the time of the Eurovision Song Contest Final.

People heading to soak up the intense atmosphere of the Eurovision Song Contest Final on Saturday 13th May, will be in for an added extra, as they can tantalise their tastebuds by trying-out new and exclusive Philadelphia Intense recipes, at One Paradise Street, Liverpool, between 9am and 5pm.

Those passing by the pop up will be able to experience an escape-hatch from everyday life, as they’re whisked away into a seriously intense, foodie ‘me moment’. They’ll be transported by the intense flavours of the two recipes created especially for the campaign by food guru and TV presenter Gok Wan.

Launching the new Philadelphia Intense gourmet cream cheese range, Gok has leveraged the rich and creamy texture of the new flavours, by creating the exclusive taste-sensation snacks: *‘Bacon and Cherry Tomato Bagel with Philadelphia Intense Garlic & Herbs’ and ‘Wild Mushroom Bites with Philadelphia Intense Herbes de Provence’.

Philadelphia Intense is celebrating life’s moments of intensity, and when it comes to the intense moments in question, on average, people from the North West experience nine intense life moments a year - whether this is moving house (64%), getting married (56%), or watching their sports team compete in a make-or-break match (30%).

Rather than shying away from these intense moments, new research by Philadelphia reveals, people from the North West actively embrace them (25%). And not only that, but North West residents are also revealed to be foodies at heart, as the report highlights that ‘feasting’ on these intense scenarios is the number one reaction (22%). In fact, one in five state that food and drink go hand-in-hand with these moments and are often the first thing they think of (21%).
Many people from the North West use intense life situations as an in-the-moment opportunity to treat themselves and loved ones to whatever food they’re craving (32%), while others prefer to plan snacks in advance (18%).

And when it comes to preferred food formulas, the North West has it cracked. The most popular texture-flavour combination features a third crunch, a third creamy, a third crispy with a mighty punch of intense flavour.

Nancy Galvin, Brand Manager for Philadelphia UK, says: "Life is full of intense moments, but whatever the occasion, it’s clear that people from Liverpool like to mark it with food. With this in mind, we’re bringing the bold flavour of Philadelphia Intense to the Eurovision Song Contest with a foodie tour that will pop-up at One Paradise Street this May. People can come down, try out Philadelphia Intense, and experience unique flavour combinations created by the wonderful Gok Wan.”

Celebrity chef, TV Presenter and DJ, Gok Wan adds: “I love hosting friends and family, especially for stand-out moments in life. I want to help people elevate intense occasions, such as the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, and encourage them to take a moment to enjoy them, so I have taken the two new Philadelphia Intense flavours to create a duo of taste-sensation snacks for people to recreate and share with friends. The new, gourmet cheese can be enjoyed however you desire, but I enjoy it slathered on a cracker, with wild mushrooms, onions, and soy sauce.”

Philadelphia Intense reveals top 10 everyday intense moments for people from the Northwest including:

Moving house (64%)
Breaking up with your partner (60%)
Buying a property (57%)
Getting married (56%)
Marriage proposals (40%)
Family feuds (39%)
Watching your team play in a make-or-break match (30%)
Getting a promotion (25%)
Getting a pet (22%)
Falling over in public (19%)

Following its appearance in Liverpool, the Intense by Philadelphia tour will help Brits mark moments of intensity and can be found popping up alongside national cultural moments such as Birmingham Pride, Wimbledon and the Ashes in Leeds throughout the summer.
