Photographer, John Steven Martinez will be hosting workshops at Montcalm East's on-site photo studio, as part of the hotel's photographer
East London hotel, Montcalm East, has chosen its next photographer in residence as part of its collaboration with Ravensbourne University.
Portrait photographer, John Steven Martinez will be spending three months at the hotel's on-site photo studio, working on his own portfolio as well as available for hotel guests to drop in and ask their photography questions to. John has a love of travel and joins the hotel following the publication of his book showcasing portraits of coffee farmers in Colombia.
John will be hosting 3 workshops, open to all, focusing on portrait photography for only £15 a ticket under 3 different themes.
- Lighting in Studio and Control of Light (Saturday 30th September, 11am-1pm)
- Long Exposure Portraits and Light Painting (Saturday 21st October, 11am-1pm)
- Polaroid Portraits Photo Walk (Saturday 18th November, 11am-1pm)
*Participants can feel free to bring their own cameras, however smartphones would work just as well.
